Brenner M. Fissell is associate professor of law at Villanova University. Fissell works in the fields of state and local government law, criminal law, and military law.
Fissell is co-editor of Criminal Law & Criminal Justice Books, co-convener of the NYC Criminal Law Colloquium (the Markelloquium!), and Vice-President of the National Institute of Military Justice.
Fissell joined the legal academy in 2018 from the U.S. Dept. of Defense, where he was appellate defense counsel at the Guantanamo Bay Military Commissions.
