Brenner M. Fissell is associate professor of law at Villanova University.  Fissell works in the fields of state and local government law, criminal law, and military law. 

Fissell is co-editor of Criminal Law & Criminal Justice Books, co-convener of the NYC Criminal Law Colloquium (the Markelloquium!), and Vice-President of the National Institute of Military Justice.

​Fissell joined the legal academy in 2018 from the U.S. Dept. of Defense, where he was appellate defense counsel at the Guantanamo Bay Military Commissions.
